Before uploading your video content for encoding, there are some terminologies you need to know before your start.
Profile
For each to-be-encoded video, you can define several output profiles. Configurable parameters such as Video output resolution, video output bitrate and audio output bitrate.
You can define your own profiles based on your need while BlendVision Encoder also provides some optimal presets that you can use directly.
ProfileSet
When creating a new encoding job under a Project, BlendVision Encoder will request you to select the ProfileSet you want to use.
ProfileSet defines the codec and streaming protocol of your encoding output. You also need to define your output resolution and bitrate by adding the predefined Profiles to our ProfileSet. BlendVision Encoder provides the ability for you to easily produce adaptive streaming by adding multiple Profiles to your ProfileSet.
Some advanced setting are also available, including
- If to output a .mp4 file after encoding
- If to enable multiple audio tracks transcoding and to name the tracks
- If to add subtitles, either embedded or burn-in, to your encoding jobs
BlendVision Encoder provides several optimal ProfileSet presets for you to use directly. You can also define your own ProfileSet based on your needs.
