BlendVision offers several approaches as below for you to create your encoding job.
- BlendVision Encoder Web Console
- Microsoft Azure Storage Explorer
- Microsoft Azure Command Line Interface (CLI)
- BlendVision API
This chapter will focus on BlendVision Encoder Console upload. For other upload methods, please refer to Upload Your Video Contents to Create a New Encoding Job - Other Approaches
First, select the Project with the project setting that matches your encoding needs.
Under the selected Project, click on the “Create an encoding” button. You will then be navigated to the “Create an Encoding” page to upload your source file.

For each encoding job, you need to assign a ProfileSet first in which you can choose our default ProfileSet or use your customized one. By selecting the ProfileSet, the detailed information of the selected ProfileSet, such as its Profiles, Video codecs, Audio tracks, and Subtitle information will be summarized on the page. And then, you need to decide if your encoding job will go through Smart Queue or Priority Queue.

Important :
For users directed from BlendVision MOMENT, you have to ensure the settings of the selected ProfileSet meets the requirement below:
- the codec adopts H.264
- the streaming protocol format is compatible with your playback platform. MPEG-DASH is for Android platform and HLS for iOS platform.
- ProfileSet Presets ottpro-30fps, ottpro-60fps, ott4k264-30fps, ott4k264-60fps are BlendVision MOMENT compatible ProfileSets you can utilize. Alternatively, you can create custom profiles that are of H.264 Codec and the streaming protocol is compliant with your playback platforms.

Click the “Select files” button to move on to the file uploading page. BlendVision Encoder web console allows bulk upload, so you can drag and drop multiple files to the uploading page.

If you select a ProfileSet which enables subtitle feature (either burn-in or embedded), once the video file is dragged and drop to the page, a section for uploading subtitle files will be expanded. Please upload the subtitle files by following BlendVision LOOM supported subtitle formats. You need to define its language code and display name for each subtitle file. Your original subtitle filename will be converted to BlendVision Encoder compatible naming rule based on the language code and display name you provided.
Finally, by clicking on the “Upload File” button, your video file will begin its encoding journey!
